Woodward Dream Cruise - August 18th, 2007 - Motown
Saturday morning - the cars have been roaring up and down Woodward since 6:00 am, they were up last night until past midnight. Some cruisers trying to get in some fun before the police get them. It has gotten to the point that Friday night is the same as it was a few years ago on Saturday. The group met for dinner last night, they came south on Woodward to 13 mile - bumper to bumper. We met up with them there. Like big kids, the guys all going over each others cars, some great add on equipment and ideas. We really like the lighted foot panels and the dual exhaust was "roaring"! It is so cool I'm sitting outside with a sweat shirt, blanket, slippers and a dog in my lap! Last year it rained and most years you cook in the heat. It looks to be amazing weather, the pictures should be excellent. Did hear a huge noise, tires and crash. The emergency cars racing by, so someone must of gotten hurt. That is a problem with the fast cars, young adults, some drinking and people walking all over. My husband heard the police are giving tickets to anyone jay walking, which is new this year. The first Cruise I got a ticket for drinking in public, but when I read it over it was a "Royal Oak special ticket" printed for the Cruise and not real. The cop had me going for a minute! Hey I was told who ever posts here owns of the XF, well all right! There will be a lot of pictures posted so you can see the group. A really nice group of people, I'm impressed some drove so far to come.
Just got home from the cruise and uploaded the first batch of pictures in my gallery. My daughter Stephanie and I had a great day and enjoyed meeting everyone. She specially liked that Yellow Roadster with the vanilla and black interior (I got a feeling I won't be getting my Aero Blue SRT Coupe anytime soon)
The weather cooperated and we got to see a lot of great classics...A special thank-you to RPM for organizing this great event.
I'll post Stephanie's group photos tomorrow.

WOW...that's about all I can say! It's the 13th year I've been to the cruise...by far the best time I've had yet! It's now 12:20 AM...I just got home...I burned a full tank of gas...and I had a BLAST!
There's only one problem...I'm stuck sitting here thinking about everyone's custom parts and how much it's gonna cost me! (especially that exhaust!).
For everyone who went back to the hotel...you missed some great "classic" Woodward action. (read...RACING!)
Anyhow...It was great meeting everyone...We'll have to make this an annual thing! Maybe even gather a few more people...I know there's more Crossfires out there than Prowlers!
Hope everyone has a safe trip home...especially Patrick...STAY AWAY FROM TRUCKS!
Oh Yea...I'm looking in the rear view mirror for you MI1XFIRE!

Great: 1) time 2) job by RPM setting everything up; 3) place - thanks Church Lady; 4) to meet everyone.
Below is a link to my pics (I can't seem to load much as I blow the forums memory buffer - also I just dumped them all, so probably some dupes - my 14 year old daughter drove the camera most of the day) through photobucket...I think it will work..if not I'll try something else.

My wife and I had a great time at the cruise and get-to-gathers. The weather was great and we had a blast. FP just left my house and is headed home. He decided to stop by mine on his way home to have me install his orange/red LED light and a switch for his windscreen. It looks great and matches his seat inserts perfect. I would also like to thank RPM and ALL the Detroit folks that organized all the events. You folks did a great job and from the comments I heard at the event we will all be back next you and hopefully a few more will join us. My next mod. and goal is to get that great sounding exhaust that Roy (mbepic) has on his crossfire. For the folks that could not attend you missed a great show in the restaurant parking lot and hopefully someone will post the video. I think Roy felt like a teenager again doing laps around the parking lot. Just a comment to FP and Andrew my car did finally get dirty (rained on) on our ride home so I'll be sure to power wash the wheel wells when I wash it. FP - I'll send you a photo for proof so I can avoid the Andrew dirty wheel well ticket you wanted him to issue to me. Andrew they were only dusty not dirty and only FP noticed. The rest of the car was spotless.
Peggy and I had a nice (albeit wet) ride home. The weekend went entirely too fast, it was great meeting everyone. Woodward was great although I must say my favorite part is the fellowship with other Crossfire owners. Crossfire owners really are special people! Planning for the event was great and I couldn't have picked better restaurants. It was a kick to see how truly excited the "Church Lady" was to have us there.
Can't wait til next time.

To all the members who attended the cruise; I just want to say to all of you that it was truly a pleasure meeting you. I had a GREAT time, and enjoyed talking to all of you and your spouses. Your cars are all beautiful in their own color and your personal mods. There wasn't one car I didn't like. The Church lady was just a great sport. I think she was as happy and excited having us, as we were to be there. What a great time, especially the time we spent at the pool.
Dave, I owe you a quarter.
Frank, thanks for your hospitality, and for installing my LEDs.
For those of you who could not make it, you missed a great experience. Try making it next time.
Thanks again, we must do this next year.

A most incredible weekend was had by all near Detroit, Michigan. Many stories shared by the members who attended. A little cruise up Woodward to Tavern 13 for dinner followed by some tailgating at the hotel parking lot kicked things off on Friday night. Saturday morning breakfast at the hotel as others joined us for a full day of fun. Many people meeting face to face for the first time. The weather was PERFECT and the cars looked awesome !! 18 Crossfires in all were in attendance. A good car show on Woodward and some fine dining was enjoyed by all who attended. I personally want to again thank everyone involved in the planning of this event and my thanks to all of you who came out and made this a real experience. We plan to make this an annual event and encourage others to come next year.

Hey everyone, just got back to Maryland on Sunday afternoon around 3 PM and it rained pretty hard all the way to almost into Maryland. Dave (Senna) and I left at about 5:30 AM and considering the weather I think we made pretty good time. All I can say is that I had great time this weekend and would love to do it again next year. Cruising on Friday night and Saturday was really great and a lot of fun but the best part for me was meeting everyone and putting faces with the screen names. The time we spent together at dinner on Friday and Saturday and meeting at the parking lot for some tailgating and the lobby at the hotel just for some socializing was the best for me. I also appreciate all the hospitality from the local xfire owners who stepped up and offered there time and kindness when I had my tire/bumper ordeal and also everybody who helped set everything up for this get together especially RPM. Great Job!!! I would post pics but so far most of the pics I’ve seen look like the same pics I took. Well cheers to everyone and maybe next year we can double the number of xfires that participate, that would be great. Pat aka Iamfink2
