Default Ceiling Cleaning Question

Any suggestions on how to clean a unknown spot in the ceiling of the car and prevent it from damaging the adhesive.

I'd try some warm water and mild dish soap with a clean cloth first.

i would recommend using a foaming aerosol glass cleaner. (sprayway, 3M, or castle).

spray the foam onto a clean white towel and rub the spotted area lightly to remove any marks.

this is the safest way to complete the task.

yeah you should listen to these guys, i left a can of unopened diet coke in my car on a summer day while i was working (forgot all about it) when i was done with work i came out to a nice little supprise! well little doesnt really describe it, the whole top of the can was blown off and there was brown crap everywhere... except in the can. i cleaned and cleaned but that headliner is a biotch to clean! so i got some resolve... it worked but not fast enough for my liking so i drowsed the headliner in resolve then pulled out the shop vac, yes that was where everything went wrong. now i have a black headliner and black a and c pillars which are much easier to clean!

DO NOT USE OXY-CLEAN TYPE SUBSTANCE totally ruined my ceiling in my old limited... Although i blamed it on a faulty door seal so stealership replaced both I got lucky do not make the same mistake i did. I had a buddy who used to take stains out of his vette with brake clean I also do not recommend that...

Mr. Administrator/moderator, please delete this post, it is duplicated in another thread. When I go into edit I don't find an option to delete, could this be enabled?

Actually, brake cleaner works great for removing grease and stains from cloth if use correctly. You spray some on a clean rag and then lightly rub the stain. It basically works the same as dry cleaning fluid. It doesn't leave any residue. That's why it is safe for brakes.

GALYAJ

Put your mouse over the EDIT button on one of your posts, then try to read what is says. Other forums allow deleting of your own posts. I don't expect to be able to delete other's posts even though I know whose I would start with..
