Door panel problem
Has anyone had problems with their door panels? To be more specific the pull handle. My driver's side handle just broke, the plastic seems to have become brittle and it just snapped. I'm hoping warranty will cover this at 33000 miles on the car.
I did find a TBS on this that helps answer part of my question. I am still curious if anyone has had this problem fixed and was it covered under warranty?
Well car is in the shop. Service guy informs me that since the car was delivered on June 2004 the 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper is out. We'll see how much this is going to set me back because they used cheap plastic as the main support to pull the door closed. I'm having them look at the door for the wind noise at the top of the door issue since they will be working on it anyway.

So here is an update on my door situation. Dealer tells me that he has "good" news. The entire door panel costs over $800.00 to replace parts and labor but they make a repair kit. No kidding a known problem for the car and you mean they made a kit to repair it? Then he tells me it will cost around $300.00 to fix the door and they will have to order the part from the central warehouse. I ask for a breakdown in parts and labor and I question the amount of labor he gives. I quote to him the .3 hours the TBS says it will take and he gives me some bull about how warranty labor time is figured differently than nonwarranty. So my driver's side door is apart and it's going to cost quite a bit more than I figured to repair a problem I shouldnt have had in the first place. Add to the fact I just went to the dentist and had a tooth worked on and it's shaping up to be a painful and expensive day all around.

I would certainly think that if you are still under warranty (check above website and call them) that this would be covered.
After all, "Bumper to Bumper" means just that.
Best of luck!

Here are the handle prices. I can't figure out why the left is $40 more than the right side though.

Probably more for the left side because they need more of them because it breaks more often than the right side. So they know they can charge more for it. The dealer quoted $80 for the part and around $150 for the labor. I won't be going back to this dealership anytime soon.
