Default Replacing convertible latch

Has anyone attempted, has instructions or tried to remove the convertible latch/handle?
Yes, I'm referring to the handle that you twist and pop out to put the top down.

I recently purchased my roadster with and the handle looked like it was chewed by a dog. I have no idea what the previous owner did to it. My buddy may be able to hook me up with a latch from a wrecked XF, but I'm not sure how to proceed with removing this part.

I looked at it quite carefully and all I found was a retainer pin on the other side of the button looking piece. Any help is much appreciated!

MMZ_TimeLord has different documentation and manuals that show exploded views of the different areas. This link will open up the parts list for the 06' parts manual and on page 423 it gives a view of the components in the handle and top release. May or may not be any help. Maybe a start anyway.
