Just an idea, I have no idea if it's even possible... Why not have the the key fob to unlock the doors as usual, and either a card that fits in your wallet or something you can attach to your key chain that will inform the car you are in the vehicle?
The new Lincoln "spaceship" commercial... common spaceships dont need keys and either should the crossfire

ok wait, so why are you trying to change handles and ish... why not just tap into the automatic locks?
IE: Walk up to the car with the magic fob and it deactivates the auto locks, walk away and it activates them???
This keeps all the stock locks in case it stops working and will keep the security system in place.

Whats everyones consensus about this. Do we just go the route where it automatically unlocks when you walk up to the car or keep going at it like we originally proposed?
Thanks
Re: KeylessGo on the Crossfire
the main reason why id like it where the there is a proximity locking and unlocking is because then i dont have to change the driver side key on the door handle and if it didnt unlock by the time im up to the car i know the battery is either dead or the system is broken. and then i can unlock the door with the key. id like the car to look 100% stock but have the proximity features
