Default Lighted door sills

Hi I am new to this forum and a newer crossfire owner. I have a slight problem with my lighted door sills and was hoping someone could help. The passanger one works great but the drivers one wont light up at all. When i first pluged it in it made a buzzing sound and that was it. I tried pluging it in to the passanger side to see if maybe it was the wiring but it still didnt work. Any ideas? Thanks Adam

I had similar issue, my drivers side quit working but i had got it wet when i was washing the car. I tried drying it out with a hair dryer and compressed air to no luck. so i took the door seal out and put it in the house for a few days and tried it again, and wala it worked again. I also unplugged the passengers door seal plate while i had the drivers out so that the transformer wouldn't over voltage the one that was working, because they both come on when you open ether door.

Try droping MMZ_TimeLord a pm. He has taken them apart and changed the color of the door seal plates. He seems to have a good working knowage of them. Good luck.

I just bought a crossfire. Are you saying the door seals where it says "CROSSFIRE" lights up? Mine doesnt but sounds really neat if they do and need to find out why mine dont! :-)

The oem sills do not, if you buy them from the dealer through mopar performance they will, cost is $450 or $380ish + shipping online.

Regretfully it's an accessory part. They do look amazing though. A nice touch to an already attractive car!
I'm looking to pick them up for my '05 Limited.
