What seats fit in a Crossfire?
What seats fit in a Crossfire?
Hi all,
I was just thinking today that I'd like to eventually swap out my seats. I have an '04 alabaster coupe. They're pretty comfortable, but something with a little more bolstering would be nice.
My question is A) would any Mercedes Benz seat fit in the Crossfire, or only SLK seats, and if so, which seats would be nice to swap in (CLK Black Series maybe?), and B) for anyone who has swapped seats, what would you suggest as a good seat that has a good mix of bolstering for cornering and enough cushioning for everyday use?
Looking forward to the discussion!

Re: What seats fit in a Crossfire?
SInce I have had my XF I have wondered - can a SRT or even a limited leather heated seat be put into a base coupe?
Is there anyone who has done this or even attempted?
If so, I would like to also know how difficult it would be to wire up and then to install the seat heater buttons on the dash?
You can pick up a set of leather seats on ebay for $400, I think if they were a direct fit and wiring was not too ugly, this would be a great solution???
Just a thought. What do you think???

Also, do these seats sit the same height or lower than the factory leather? I can't give up ANY head room.
thanks

I took the car to an upholsterer and he wouldn't touch it. I really like the look of the leather seats, but if the base model is that much better, I might just have to change.
I would also like the backrest to be a little wider, but that is a seat change for sure, and I have no idea what would work in there.

LOL,
That'd be sweet strap two seats to the roof, we can finally have a true passenger vehicle, lol.
