Default Motor Mount Fit

Hello,

I purchased this because it's listed as fitting 2003 SLK320

Mercedes Engine Motor Mounts Transmission Mount Lemforder 2200617 3pcs | eBay

The Lemforder motor mount box lists Cross.No.: 230 240 01 17 not 203 241 11 13

Yes I have googled and searched, some say yes its cross, some list other part number crosses.

Before I go and take my old ones out I was wondering if these will fit?

Also, they come with a white rubber shroud. Is that just for packing/shipment purpose?

I would advise going with the E55 AMG mounts. Look at the thread below. Let me know if you have any questions.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post835681

EDIT: Just saw you already purchased them. If the picture is correct those look identical to the factory crossfire mounts so I am sure they will fit, they just don't seem as durable as the E55 mounts. The white rubber shroud is just some aftermarket stuff, no need for it on the crossfire as the factory has metal heat shields. I will warn you fishing the mounts out is not easy and I would advise unhooking the steering arm for a little more room to work.

Just wrote a reply but it was lost...

85daytona,

Thanks.
My original goal was to find the lowest price on a set of LEMFÖRDER that were shown to be for A2032411113
I have done more research since my first post.
I read the polyurethane post.
I also read All Engine Motor Transmission Mounts Failed 65k miles
It turns out the LEMFÖRDER I received are the exact cross of the generic mounts snpiee received. They look the same too.
The mounts I received are LEMFÖRDER 26084 01 Mercedes cross 230 240 01 17
A list of LEMFÖRDER to Mercedes part numbers can be found here:
LEMFÖRDER | Print Catalogs
If you wanted to directly cross the crossfire to the current Mercedes part number:
FRONT MOUNT | Genuine Mercedes-Benz | 203-241-11-13

I plan to do the install on Saturday despite better judgment.

Maybe these are a little softer than the E55 mounts, better for my DD.

Did you mean the steering damper? not arm?

If I remember correctly, both the steering damper and the steering linkage that connects to the pitman arm coming off the recirculating ball system help for removal and installation. Definitely not just the steering damper. You will need a press to push it out.

Did you use a standard puller or one of the compact ones?

Did you need a pickle fork?

I used the miller tool 9168 but I think a two jaw puller or the Autozone 27175 tool would also work. It made it way easier, I remember wishing I would have done it sooner.

Done.
Fit is fine.
Did not need to remove steering linkage.
Driver side mount was broken in half.
