Default low shift ****

I went with the Momo "short" Anatomica leather shift **** -- several reasons:

1. I'm in Phoenix AZ and the stock metal **** got hot as hell in the sun
2. I like the look and feel of the Momo leather ****
3. the "short" essentially shorten the top lever length on the shifter, effectively giving you a shorter throw shift.

I was lucky enough to get a custom grey leather shift boot before the place apparently went out of business (per some other threads here).

Were you able to replace the shift **** yourself? Is it easy to do?

Very easy -- search the forums, there are "how-to's" about removing the old one. the Momo **** is held on with three set screws, I recommend using Loc-Tite on them so they stay tight.

The stock shift boot is sort of attached to the old ****, after you remove it turn the top part down inside and put a cable tie (ty-wrap) around it to hold it to the shaft below the ****.

If you need any more info, let me know.

Looks good, I had access to a machine shop about 6 months ago and was gonna make a custom auto shifter for my slowbalt using the same ****. Instead of pressing in the factory button the whole **** was going to be pressed downward about 1/4 inch to unlock the shift lock.

You need to get your monitor or eyes checked -- **** is like new. There is a little glare on the top from light coming in the windshield..it's black leather, treated regularly with HideFood to keep it lookin' good & feeling grippy!!!
