The dealer who says that they are all like that is lying, they are good at that as it is a prerequisite to get the job and then they get more practice. Remember a few dollars more profit is more important than good customer relations at most stealerships, sad but true.
How do you get a job at a stealership? You lie on your resume.

You know, when I tore it apart and put it back together last time, I did notice that little latch could be adjusted. I toyed with moving it around, far enough so the latch would catch and lock, but still seemed to sag. I suppose I should give it another shot. Will let you know how it turns out.

I had the same issue and found that readjusting the latch back (towards the front of the car) so it closes a little tighter fixed it...well its better than it was. its a t-15? torx and a bizzare yoga position to get at it.

This is funny... I thought I was the only one who noticed it. I looked into adjusting mine, but it didn't appear to have an appropriate way to correct it. I soon realized that every Crossfire I saw interior photos of had the exact same problem, so I figured (as the dealership said) they are all like that. I'm going to give the shop manual instructions a try.
I've poked the glovebox every time I look at it for 3 months now (like a kitchen cabinet that doesn't shut right). I can't wait to fix this tonight as it's the one thing on the interior that's been bugging me non-stop.
