on the 6sp do i just twist that shift **** off or is there a set screw somewhere. is it a commonly used thread to replace the ****?

 

No and No. You unscrew the bottom part of the know and it drops down, then pull the **** off. You have to find a **** that will work on the MB to replace with. Look up the thread "Show me your ****"....

Not sure. My info is for the Auto. My Aero to be precise. I do recall reading something about the shifter boot and how it is attached to the bottom of the ****. So I guess they are different. Iffin' you do a search you should find it.

I have auto's so I will have to defer to a stick owner... you can search and find it (eventually)....

Auto and manual are totally different. If anyone has questions about the 6 speed **** and shift boot, let me know. I have replaced both of mine and am pretty familiar with how they go together....
