Auto dim rearview mirror problem
I have just bought a 2004 crossfire in Australia. Really pleased with it but the auto dim rearview mirror LCD is broken and I need to source a replacement. I have seen the Gentex K2 online and I am wondering if anyone ships to Australia and is it an easy job to replace the existing unit.
Well i'm an Aussie as well and have the same problem, stealership quoted $1100 Aus to replace, are they available in the USA and how much would they be? Any info would be greatly appreciated, Cheers Exocet

At the risk of sounding like a dummy ( I guess I had better get used to it!) - do all Crossfires have this mirror? (I have an '05 Coupe). What exactly does auto dim mean?

Electrochromic technology made by Gentex or Donnelly (now Magna) have a light sensor and automatically dims the mirrors. My A6 has it on the rear and both outside mirrors. When I bought my roadster, I received a Chrysler questionnaire and the main feedback was that I strongly believed a $37k car should come standard with all three auto-dimming mirrors. Cheap bastards.
If you Aussies cannot find a replacement mirror, email me at jjaiven@chartermi.net I live in the same town where Gentex is headquartered and can make some inquiries.
