glove box lock
just went to open my glove box and the lock fell out onto the floor. Box is locked and I need to get in, plus need suggestions on what I can do to get it repaired
LOL!!! Welcome to my life last week. How many of the pins came out of the tumbler? I only had two to lay with and had to fiddle to see which one fit where. If you've got more...good luck, be sure that you didn't lose any of the tiny springs inside for the tumbler.

I just had mine replaced after someone broke into my car and ripped out my whole center console to get my stereo. They pulled the cylinder out to get in to the glove box. A new cylinder was over $200 and took almost 3 weeks to get.
That's ugly, I'm thinking that someone tried breaking into the glove box on mine too. My son took the box out and glued the box lock open. Can't lock it anymore, but it works for me.
I still have a problem with mine, the body shop guys couldnt install it exactly right, they told me to be careful when pulling my key out of it when I lock or unlock it, because the cylinder may pull out with the key. But Im fine with it just being in there, just as long as there is no more hole in the glove box, and I did get a new spare key out of it.
