Replacing Gauge Cluster
If I were to buy a used OEM gauge cluster...
Would the mileage from that cluster carry over to my car?
Or does the Crossfire store the actual mileage and reflect it in whatever OEM cluster you pop-in?
Thanks

I had to get mine replaced under warranty, the service teck told me the mileage is stored but I'm not sure if it automatically adjust the mileage on the new cluster. Sorry.
I know they can change the milage with the DRB at least on a new cluster, because they forgot to put my milage in and it was blank when I picked the car up, so the tech came out and did it, right with me standing there and also gave me a 1000 miles less. And did not seem to effect anything. So you should be able to get it changed I would think????
If the new one has less miles on it than the old one, you can use it and they can put the correct mileage on there. If it has more, you'll just get a bunch of 888888 on the odo. Can't subtract them fortunately or anyone with the right tools could "roll back the clock" and sell these cars with only "1000" miles!
LOL
Yes that makes sense, They did give me a NEW cluster with 000000k and the car had about 14k but when it was all done I had 1k LESS in milage, it was on my 04 coupe and then about a year later I sold the car with 20k on it and never had any troubles with the milage being off by 1k.
