Default Sun roof in Canadian Crossfire

I'm not really a fan of sunroofs but I spotted this one in a Crossfire on a lot yesterday. It was well done and I thought that it may be of interest to some people. The maker was Sebasto and it was a powered sunroof.

That's really nice, any idea on how much a setup like that would cost?

I love sunroofs. Have them in all my other cars. I'd love one in my Xfire too, but I'm always leary of aftermarket items like this --- and what it may do to the integrety of the vehicle (mostly concerns over leaks, roof liner, etc. The one in the picture looks great -- and seems to have a good install.

I saw an Xfire for sale when I was looking that had a sunroof. I considered going to check it out -- but never got a call back from the guy selling it. I'd be curious to know more from the owners who have installed one what their experience is (and costs).

Hey, this just came to me (thinking outside the box again).
Why not get a "miniature" power sun roof, and put it on the hood (sort of like the 2010 Corvette ZR1) Google Image Result for http://www.corvette2011.org/images/2011corvette_zr1.jpg
and just open it up anytime you want to cool down the engine bay.

Wow pretty neat!

I did a bit of searching around and found the mfg's website, i believe its the Hollandia 300 series

Webasto Sunroofs

Would be neat to know which size it was.

The inside looks almost factory, my only concern would be the seal around the rib on the roof. but other then that, theres been a fiew times i wish i had a sunroof, just to get the breeze flowing through.

Nice install. I would be curious how it looks straight on with the rib in the roof.

A sunroof is the first thing I missed when I traded up to a Crossfire.

Very nice!!....but I would love to have maybe two removable roof panels, that could fit into the trunk.

Wow - this is really neat to see older pics of my new car on this thread!! The sun roof works great with no leaking at all. I didn't realize it was so unique.

I saw this on the lot of Dixie Chrysler in Brampton, October 2010. It looked like a nice install job.
Had a few miles on the car as I recall, about $14,500 was being asked I think.

I bought it off the fellow who bought it from Dixie Chrysler. It's a 2004 and had 87,000 km (almost 88,000 now a week later...lol) and was absolutely spotless (tough act to follow!)
