Rewire garage controls to control lights?
Rookie here..
Just wondering
if anyone has rewired their overhead garage controls to do anything else other than opening garage doors, setting off alams or nothing else of the like. I'm planning on, if possible, rewiring the remote to control some interior LEDs i've added inside my car, cause I hate having the small control that came with the LEDs that sits with an exposed wire. Any inside scoop or opinions will help

Im not positive but I think messing with the home link wiring could backfire on you. Perhaps you could wire up a switch like I did for my rear fog light. its easy, looks stock and is right next to the fuse box.

I would consult our own wiring guru, Rudy, before messing with those garage controls. They are tied to other functions in the wiring schematic as I remember it.
