Default i need color style opinions

im working a deal on a black 32 with a full black interior. i want to recover the center of the seats half the door panels in a red alcantara. help me choose the right color! the exterior is gloss black and will have polished or silver rims with red brembo calipers. heres the choices
http://www.alcantara.com/uploadedFil...ftermarket.pdf
ill also be using red stitching and doing the headliner dash and center console in a charcoal alcantara

i was thinking either the rouge or claret for the seats and doors and carbon for the other parts

I like the rogue, I think it would "pop" more. The claret might look a little dingy with such a dark interior.

I agree if you're going with a black and red scheme. But it will be bright red in there. Not bad if that's what you want. A bit of red pinstriping on the outside would tie it all together. You could go more subtle on the interior, and use the calipers as the eye candy.

Buggin, are you sure those are the Alcantara colors? It says ULTRASUEDE.... the Alcantara colors on their site are different numbers and shades....

I agree with the guys though.... I like the claret but it will be pretty dark with the black/CF interior...

I tend to disagree with this as I think the brighter red might make the car look like a bordello inside! I'd rather see a darker red like the Claret or, as in the .PDF linked to in a subsequent post, the 2916 rather than the 4996. Now, that's what I would do if it were my car and my money, but it's your money and your car - you might like that brighter red!

what about 2934.S2 in the pdf chart with the red stitching? im open to all ideas and the slk32 did come with a 2 tone red and black interior. the seat inserts and the top half of the doors were red. everything else was black

That's nice too, a little more subtle but classy. I don't know if I'd like it with red stitching though, I feel like the stiches should match the accents to bring everything together.

sorry, Didnt mean to insult you (or buggin).....

the 2934.S2 or 2974.S2 would be a nice subtle look....

I think the red with matching stitching could be a real looker..... (I said LOOKER not hooker)

not an insult at all! he is a top notch fella!! im think im in info overload! between the colors the materials the wheels research and searching for a car to put it all in i cant think straight!
im leaning towards the carbon color alcantara with red stitching for the interior and do just the inserts for the seats keeping the leather bolsters. thanx everyone!

Alcantara and Ultrasuede are very similar (some use the names interchangeably) and they are a synthetic suede, much easier to work with, and much cheaper. I have used some over the years and have been very happy with the way it has held up in various automotive applications.

I think a darker red with matching stitching would be best, more like a merlot color. I do not think it would clash against the black and CF, but getting the correct color for the calipers to pull it all together may be challenging. Good luck with it, Steve, after seeing your other car, I have no doubt it will be stunning.
