Default UltraGauge

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that the UltraGauge is on sale right now. Its $60 with a $9 mail-in rebate instead of the normal $200 price tag.

I was going to purchase one of these a few months ago and it went to the back burner. But at this price I may have to rethink.

Is there any reason for me NOT to buy this? Thanks for your opinions.

James

Yes I was going to velcro tape it above the drivers side ac vent, like I saw here on the forum.

Or you can just use it as a scan tool /reader.

You know the more I think about this, here is what I recall reading up on this.

This is the foreign (China?) version of the ScanGauge II product. I has pros and cons compared. I do recall this being like $40 when it first hit the market. Google Ultragauge and there are a bunch of comparisons. Still a deal if you are looking for one.

I bought it for the trip computer functions it has. Its also useful to judge effects of mods, such as how much of a difference a CAI has made on intake temps.

I gave this thought while cutting the grass. When I finished, I came in and ordered one. Thanks for the heads up.

And some pics installed and turned on please, I want to see how the screen looks...

I've had mine for about 6 months and found that it's a pretty neat little gadget.

It's a real PITA to apply for the $9 rebate.

You have to set it up for each car it is used in (no memory) if you want to use the economy and speed features. Small and easy to find a place for.

If I didn't know better, I would say that it's the same as the Nitrod VM100 I bought 4 years ago. But this one won't do the HUD trick.

Well worth the $60 I've got in it.

The velcro that comes with the Ultragauge is crap. The first hot day the glue let loose and left a gooey mess on my dash. I replaced it with the clear 3M hook to hook stuff that comes with an EZPass.

I've had mine a little over a month now. I use it to monitor fuel mileage for the most part. Mine came with the velcro as well as an adjustable windshield mount. I used the windshield mount because the buttons are on the back of the unit. (my only complaint) Therefore, You'll be pulling it off the dash every time you fill up the tank and need to reset it. Other than that, It's a great little unit. Lets you set up six gauges on three screens. Just push the button on the lower right side to switch screens! Sadly, The Crossfire lacks some of the sensors to make use of all of the available gauges. But at this price, I really can't complain!

Mine arrived in the mail today, in a matter of a few days. I need to go over the setup menu but thought I would get it mounted up first. I have some industrial grade velcro to hold it in place. The velcro is thick enough that I can still get to the menu button behind the unit without taking it off the dash. Once I get the screens set up, there will be no need to mess with it again.

Ok, for your guys figuring the fuel mileage details: What did you put for fuel tank capacity?

The owner's manual says 15.8gal w/ 2.1gal reserve. So is it 17.9/18 gal?
