Anyone else with a Bob Hope Chrysler Classic?
I asked about this when I first bought my car. Since then, anyone else come across one of these on their car?

It was on the car when the former owner bought it. She bought it from the original owner but never asked about it.

Not being a golfer I have no idea where they held the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in 2005. But you might be able to find out from the dealer (where your car was purchased from) if they supplied cars to the Golf Classic, or did they purchase your car from an auction that was disposing of Chrysler Official Promo cars that were used there.
Maybe you could even find out whose "Celebrity" butt actually sat in your car.
Remember, when the cars roll across the floor at Barrett Jackson, Celebrity status always adds $$$$$ to the sale price.
Just keep your fingers crossed that it wasn't T. Woods & guest.

I find this whole thing odd. It seems most Classics from that time period were all held out west. My car was delivered new from a dealer in Northern Indiana.

If your vehicle was sold as new, then someone probably just glued the medallion on. Does the CarFax show Chrysler as the orig owner?

But then Bob would have put Havoline in his Xfire (contractual obligation).
With that on my car I'm sure I could make a most interest'n story! In fact maybe I'll get a Washington silver dollar and glue it on the bulkhead and make up a tale.
I live in Palm Desert California which where the Bob Hope Classic was played for the past 30+ years. This year the name was changed to the Humana-Clinton Tournement. Chrysler was the major sponser for all the years the Hope name was associated. As the major sponsor, Chrysler used the venue to showcase all their cars each year. I saw 1st editions of the Crossfires there when it was still a concept car. As a member previously suggested, the tournement would give all the PGA pros complimentary cars to drive around while they were here for the competition. The comemoritive coins of Bob Hope would not be a stretch of imagination so go easy with the wise cracks..... I wish I had one for my SRT6.

I realize that this is not as cool as a crossfire....
But the golf cart that we use up at the lake (for cruising to the boat ramp or visiting friends, etc ... no golf) was used by Bob Hope and in the movie "the Jerk" by "Naven" (Steve Martin) ... according to the seller.
Not as fast as some of our neighbors carts ... but we get a lot of looks
Under the canopy where you might expect to find passenger seats is a giant built-in ice chest ... all we need now are some cool 8-tracks to play in its stereo
