What if I unplugged the battery for like a day would that reset the gauge's and possibly turn the light off because I really don't want to pay the dealer of I can do it myself

if you could do itn yourself i would have said so. srs /airbag lites have to be reset using star das. unless you have this software, the mutiplexer cable and associated hardware you have to go to a dealer

Just a thought but have you driven it, while driving is the light coming on and then going off? I know a guy who had his steering wheel off and after he re-installed it his light was going on and off so he called to ask if my shop's star machine would work on our cars. I talked to one of our MB tech's (Sprinter) and he advised him to unbolt the airbag without unplugging it and make sure the plug was secure and after he did that his car was fine, maybe the plug wasn't tight. I know if you start the car with it unplugged it takes a star machine to clear it but you might try checking the plug.

That would probaly work only we started the car with the airbag unplugged because we had to realign the steering after getting to the clock spring. I will just have it taken to the dealer. Thanks though for the suggestion

Yep, it has to go to a shop with a Star machine.
