Default Gated Shifter

Was there anyone who purchased the Gated Shifter that was offered on E-Bay from a company in Germany several months ago. I tried several times to contact them with no luck. Just wandering if anyone had any luck.

John, from that thread, they said they only had a model that fit the base model, not yet one for the limited, and IIRC most in the thread were limited owners.

I was unaware of any difference in the tranny or shifter between the models, but I would love to see one of these installed and someone to review everything

He said there would be a late February availability... Apparently the difference in the two was a 3mm difference in throw. He said they tried the "base" gated shifter on over a dozen Limiteds and each one had binding issues between the gates... Tried it on a few base coupes (blackline in Germany) and had no issues.

This is the only car I've ever worked on where 2-3mm could make or break a mod.

I hear you, hell, I have driven both for at least 30K miles and had no idea there was a difference, thanks for the clarification...

You are correct and I have a base and advised them of that fact in one of my E-mails. That is why I was surprised I did not hear back from them

That's true... not sure why they're not cooperating with you then...

Well If anyone does hear from them or see's an advertisement on E-bay again please let me know and send me a PM. I want to buy one. Speaking of Ebay is it just me or does anyone else just tired of even looking up E-bay for parts. I remember when 13 pages covered everything for Crossfire parts. I bet I went through 19 pages of floor mats and steering wheel covers just looking up interior parts....

Every car I have ever driven with a gate I hated... I have this ability to throw hard punches when shifting....gates are just an annoyance..lol....

Well that is pretty interesting.. never driven anything that was gated, it seems like it would make things more difficult? At any rate, there's a lot more I can do with 399euro... plus I've already got a Startech shifter I haven't even installed yet
