Default Removing Door Pull

Okay everyone I have searched and could not find the answer.

FOr all of those who have painted their silver trim what did you do about the door pull. Did you only paint the front half or the entire pull, back and front. If you did the back part HOW DID YOU GET IT OFF!!

I removed the front plate of the silver bar. Removed the door panel and I see where the back part of the pull is attached. But there is nothing holding it on. I went to remove the back part of the silver pull but it does not budge. I did not want to force it because i did not want to break anything. How do you remove the back portion of the door pull?

He wants to know how to get the interior door pull off.
As I recall there are clips or something that hold the pull in the door panel. I'll check though.
Edit
You have to depress the clips.
