Squeaky, Creaky Driver's Seat
Re: Squeaky, Creaky Driver's Seat
Is it for sure the seat and not the plastic right behind or over your shoulder? If you have the seat back enough to where it is touching the bulkhead it can sometimes squeak as the plastic and leather rub together. Readjusting so there is a sliver of space between can help, or even leaning it back harder to keep it solid. The other problem is where the plastic meets around the little side window, that can get really annoying on bumps and such as every little thing will make it creek and pop.
Re: Squeaky, Creaky Driver's Seat
I'm pretty confident it's the actual seat. Back when the car was under warranty, I had the seat heater replaced by the dealer. I'm sure they did not put the seat back in the right way, because since then, the suede isn't tucked below the front lip properly--I always have to retuck it. Plus, if the back of the seat is at its lowest setting, when I sit on it, it conflicts with some plastic piece under the seat and pops. Geez.
Re: Squeaky, Creaky Driver's Seat
I found that collar that hold the seat beat buckle rubs against the seat which created a creaking noise. I cut off the top of a white sock and place it around the seat belt buckle which is then in between the buckle and the seat. Than eliminated the creaking noise.
Re: Squeaky, Creaky Driver's Seat
This is crazy!
I just noticed after the Fall Dragon, that one of the seats is creaking. It didn't before Valkryderguy sat in it. Hmmmm?
Anyways, I too am baffled by an inability to source the new squeak. I sprayed teflon on all the metal parts and it still squeaks.

That is exactly what I found to be the problem!
