Default '04 with scrapes & rough looking consule

I just purchased an 04 and the exterior is perfect but the grey consule is really rough. It has so many rough spots and needs new life. Is there a paint available to restore it to the original color and condition ? All suggestions requested

It depends on your interior (seats) color, if the are two tone (light & dark gray) it's paint code BD5 (Medium Slate) Chrysler Part# 05134799AA or dark gray only, it's Paint code XDV Dark Slate Gray, Chrysler Part# 05069094AA. It may be ordered through a Chrysler Dealer or sold by DupliColor at your local auto parts stores.
Good Luck in your search.....

Then what would you do? Take out the console and sand it down then repaint the whole thing with several layers? Sorry for my stupid question but I have never attempted something like that!

And for the lighter, bright silver portions?

Just lightly scuff up the surface with a scruffy pad, clean it and then and spray on a couple of coats. I've used it and it turns out beautifully . . .

The paint code for the silver areas of the console had been previously posted on the forum as being the same as used on the NA wheels . . .

Satin Silver Metallic Clearcoat (Wheel Color) XZA-W Touch Up Paint for 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Not certain this is correct . . . just passing it along . . .
Thanks. I have about 8 pencil point sized chips I need to touch up and know if I am a shade off it will look worse than if I leave it alone.

For your SRT6 you need this SEM Classic Coat product for your center console . . .

Why only for SRT??? Is the silver center color different in an SRT Compart to a N/A?
