Airbag warning light
How do you reset this warning light?
Am I correct in my understanding that the airbags may be perfectly serviceable but a single blip in their system will turn the light on and it doesn't go out until reset.

Which is it??????
I think your statement makes more sense.
Mine's been on for a year or so. It would come on when my passenger seat was removed and go out when I put it back in. Then I got lazy and had the seat out for oh ….. months and when I put it back in the light didn't go out. Another piece of the puzzle perhaps.

Sorry, I don't understand your reply. The warning light has been on for at least six months with no ill effects. Given that my other car is a Lotus racer from before there were safety devices, I think I still have the edge in the Crossfire. The thought of open wallet surgery has always made me avoid the dealership.

The stealer has to reset the brains to put the light out. If you have other problems in the system then reading the error codes should say what they are.
Aha! The rogue semi trailer . Fortunately, Welsh country roads aren't semi trailer friendly.
I am reminded of driving in Arizona. Going down a long incline at well over the speed limit, I had a truck with semi trailer only a few feet from my rear. No wonder Americans feel more comfortable with their airbags
Within ten years all truck drivers are likely to be replaced by electronics. Can't wait.

if any one has similar story I would like to know. I know you can't sell car without working airbag. Bucky *****
Unfortunately if your airbag light won't go off the dealer is needed to diagnose problem. Mine ended up being a 3000.00 repair as airbag module under center console went bad. The cost for replacement part is about 2200.00 plus labor

I wasnt going to pay 3k, forget that. Thats like half the price of these cars now.
I replaced mine for about $50 a few years and the light went out. I bought a used sensor off wrecked crossfire. Labor is simple, you have have to remove the center stack and console. It sits on the floor under the center stack. Plugged it in and it reset it self.

Is there a step by step guide to the replacement?
If anyone is breaking a crossfire and has a good one of these for sale please let me know.
I have been troubleshooting my airbag light for weeks; luckily, I saw this https://www.youcanic.com/troubleshoo...rbag-light-on/ that helped me a lot, and now the airbag light has come off. I hope this will help you too in fixing the airbag light on your vehicle.
He is not going to answer. He posted that one time, and has never logged in again. You can click on the person's screen name, click "view public profile" and their last login is displayed as to date and time. Given the fact that the person made such a generic statement, only to post a link, suggests they are simply posting on car forums to generate traffic on a site they have an interest in .
Airbag lights are coming on in a lot of our cars, mine came on in 2016, I have an 07 and the 07/08s take a module that is not available anymore. My module died, won't talk at all. I dont know if the module for the 04-06s is available or not. Anyway, I pulled the fuse for the warning light and gave up, I need no airbag anyway - I've had two accidents where the airbag deployed even tho it was not needed. I was injured both times, by the deployment of the airbag, not the impact of the crash.

Thanks for the info. The module you write about is it the Airbag Control Module? I've heard that replacing this may solve the problem and Needswings can have it rebuilt or find a repalcemngt part. He just gave one to a gentleman at the Woodward Dream Cruise one to take home and try. It is made by Temic.

You don't need it, injury or death because you DID NOT have an airbag is actually really rare. SUre, it helps in a TINY percentage of crashes, but the numbers are really weak that you will ever be in a crash that it helps.
