Does anyone know whether the seats from a Mercedes C-Class are a bolt-in replacement for our cars? Specifically, cloth seats with the *manual* seat-track?
Context: The leather seats in my '04 Limited are a little beat-up. Also the drivers side heating element is bad. Also the power seats work intermittently (probably the relay, haven't bothered to mess with it yet). Also I dislike leather seats in general (hot and slippery), but they came with the car.
I'd love to buy a set of fabric / manual seats from an old C-Class and just swap them in. There are plenty of them on
Seats out of any "Base" Crossfire will fit right in. They are essentially cloth covered SLK seats and are very comfortable. Check out your local LKQ salvage yard.
THey are cheaper and yes, you are missing:
... Crossfire door sills, fog/driving lamps, rear speakers and amplifier, garage door opener, Tire Pressure Monitor, heated/electrically moveable seats and some cosmetic niceties as well as other stuff I'm forgetting.
But give one the "SE Package and you STILL get a RED ROADSTER!
