Just purchased a 2005 SRT6 Coupe. Naturally, it has a list of issues that need fixed - all but one of which I have an answer to. Specifically, the power seats work when I try to move the driver's seat every direction - except for backwards.

When I activate the toggle to move the seat backwards, initially nothing happens. If I hold the toggle for 2-3 seconds, the power seat motor makes a short, soft noise but no movement.

I am at a loss as what this could be caused from. A single loose wire? Bad electrical component inside of the power seat motor? I've been searching the forums today and have not found anything related to the power steering working in every direction but one.

I have already checked for obstruction, that is not the issue.

**EDIT - SOLVED (for now) - Using a wrench and rag I 'assisted' the motor in turning the lead screw as I pressed the backwards toggle. As soon as the motor took to the motion, it was good to go. Might be just a short term solution, but it works for now**
