Default How to remove the door air line

The is an air line (big yellow tube) inside the door for the PDL. How do you remove it without breaking anything ? Have seen many weird German connectors but not one like this.

Door air line - how to remove ?
Maybe you could warm the plastic airline to make it easier to remove, it is on a metal nipple I presume?
I replaced the air line that goes from the hatch lock to the CLP/SSM, I had to remove the yellow hose from two plastic nipples and I just cut the airline lengthwise and it came off. I replaced the airline as they are prone to break at the hinging flex point. If you have sufficient length you could do the same. If it is like my connectors it is a simple barbed connector.
Over time the hinge point of these door airlines will fail as well, I replaced mine with 3mm ID x 5mm OD polyurethane airline.

OK lets try something simple: how do you remove the connector on the driver's side air bag in the door ? Pull, twist, or ???

Found a little in my service manual (bought the CD) which says what not to do but not how to remove the connector. Just "disconnect" is not help.:

"Disconnect the side impact airbag squib harness connector (2) from the side impact airbag.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the squib connector wires or pry on the connector insulator to disengage the connector from the side airbag inflator connector receptacle. Improper removal of the squib wires and their connector insulators can result in damage to the airbag circuits or connector insulators. "

However after some searching I found a picture and it is a keyed plastic (be gentle) two pin connector that must be pulled straight out from the module.

Got the air bag disconnected (below), just three more connectors to remove: air line (heat and slice ?). Power Door Lock Connector and Power window connector.

OK PW and air line are off. That just leaves the Power Door Lock connector which is frankly baffling. Can see a catch but moving does not seem to do anything. Hopefully some one can provide the crib. This is the last connector.

Some of these connectors are a Chinese puzzle to me. I am just pulling your leg here but you can always fall back on the Sawzall.

Have door on bench and trying to disassemble. Could care less about the harness but do not want to damage the PDL actuator. Is the last thing left but the hardest to get to.

Did you figure this out without splitting and cutting the yellow tubing? I'm trying to release the connector it's plugged into on the rear hatch but it looks like I need a special tool.

It is just a barbed connector and it just pushes on. I slit the one on my car and replaced the whole line to the pump.
You could try warming it and pulling it off.
No special tools needed here, it is a push fit.

Ignore the above.

Edit
Here is the connector on the left, I think I forgot how the airline came off, its been all of 6 months since I did it.

I guess it just pulled off as X-fired says in the next post.

After I wrote that I got more aggressive and the plastic connector just popped right out - but I had to pull much harder than I was initially comfortable with.

Thanks for the reply.
