My driver (finger pull) door handle hasn’t worked since I got the car, it’s just loose and doesn’t work. I have to roll the window down to open my door. Well a couple days ago on my passenger side I replaced the mirror which requires the door panel to be taken off and I put everything back together as it was before, that door handle stopped working and does the same thing as the driver door now?! I thought to myself maybe the door panel being removed was the reason something was broke/came undone so I checked the driver door and wouldn’t you know, that door panel has been taken off previously by someone else and I wasn’t aware of it. So I’m assuming that’s when that door handle stopped working as well. I noticed the driver side tweeter speaker was missing when I pulled it off is how I knew someone previously took it off. My only guess is one of the steps during reassembly, the metal bar that attaches to the door mechanism wasn’t put back in the right place or something? It has a hole that it pops into attached to the finger pull handle itself but it looked like it has multiple different slots as if it’s adjustable or something. I’m about to go dig back into it so let me know any pointers! Anything’s appreciated!

Here's a video on the door panel removal. I know that you have done it before, but I'm putting the video in because it shows all of the components. This way you might spot something that is missing or not connected properly.

Thank everyone for their help and advice! I apologize for the late response but I did figure it out on both doors! The handle cable was not put back into it’s slot so it was just sitting there loose when pulled so I just popped it back in lol pretty simple fix once I finally dug into it! Before After
