I also installed a new pair of web straps. They came with 6 neoprene stick on pads 1/8 thick, 4ea are 2x3 inch, 2ea are 4 inch. Any idea where these go?

 

I have no idea. See if you can tell if pads may have been on the old straps. If you have the original tension cables it may be good to put 2 of them above the original crimp at the front of the cables. That huge rough crimp will tear-up the straps.
