Default Swap SRT-6 Into 2005 CLK320?

I have a 2005 SRT-6 with really shot paint. Low miles, salvage title (no idea how minimal the damage was). I've been looking to paint it or find a nice roadster to swap everything into but paint is $6k ish and High mileage roadster with a shot top and hydraulics is $4-5k. I found a 2005 CLK320 with trans issues (probably conductor plate) that is pretty clean for $3k. Anyone know how straight forward the drivetrain swap would be? I'm looking to keep it factory stock as possible. Thanks for any info if anyone has done this before.

Matt has done a few swaps both to limited and to the slk 320 and made a C32 out of a c320 wagon.
it is not that bad to swap with your knowledge it should be easy
That makes 5ea. c32 wagons in the USA,,, jim

Jim, this SRT is the one I bought from Melbourne when we met years ago. I had the car running in 15 minutes after getting it home. I fixed all the broken interior, new top and hydraulics etc. from the time I got quotes for paint and then fixing up the car and de-trimming it for paint the cost of a paint job doubled 😳 .

I ended up with a clean limited roadster instead to swap everything into. Not really looking forward to it but I'm going to start soon. I'm going to leave the limited pretty stock looking from the outside but put the SRT seats and cluster in. Going to swap brakes etc. I hate to part out a SRT roadster but the cost to paint it is just too much.
