While we are right in front of it we might want to visit the Walter P museum, it's always something interesting, thought?
Anyway, this sounds more and more interesting and if it works it could be a very cool day!!! How many people are you thinning will get?

I am hope that we can get around 20 people, that would be amazing to have 20 xf all crusin together. Since most of the highways over here seem like they are under construction a scenic route might be a lot less stressful. I will try to get a route posted on monday but I can't promise anything.
Also if we don't visit the museum we might want to take a picture will out our cars in front of the museum. I know it has a long entrance drive with a circle area in front. Might be a nice place for a group picture.

I checked the route on Google Earth. From my home in Centerville (south of Dayton) Ohio this is a 252 Mile trip 4 hours 4 minutes trip. It may be a bit farther than I would want to go for a gathering...but getting a group photo in front of the Walter P museum is appealing, as is the idea of linking so many Crossfire owners together. I know there is some interest growing for a Columbus, Ohio get together that would be more practical...but this one seems to be firming up quicker.
Put me as tentative and let me check with the boss on planning. Maybe I can loan my Mother-in-Law to my son for the weekend and make this a go. However, we would definitely need a change in the thread title to ensure that Ohio and Canada members can participate with a clear mind.
Aloha...Mark

Good idea Mark6754, It might actually be a good idea to repost the thread under something that will attract more viewer from outside Michigan, but it's not my idea and I would hate to take over someone else idea.
The bottom line i guess is: "the more people will get the better it will be", imagine if we end up 100 Crossfire that day...
On another note, but still on the same day (June 4th) I might have a couple of good and exiting ideas for that day but I will need to make some calls next week and more importantly I need to have a very good idea of the number of participants on June 4th before getting those i have in mind involve.
If this works this could be very exiting for X Fire driver...will see.
Continue passing the message around and let's get the most people we can...

OK, OK you guys are right, so I changed the name of the thread to include the Midwest region & Canada.
Spread the word and keep RSVPing to FUZZ 40. I work at DC HQ, so I'll round up some more attendees and try to set something up with the museum.

Alright I got to working on the route some this weekend but I do need input on something. Do we want to take highways or stay away from highways? The pros of taking the highways are easier to stay together and more of a direct route. The cons are of course construction. If we stay on the regular roads we might run into the problem of trying to keep everyone together because of traffic lights.
I was able to find the location of the car show and map quested directions from the Walter P. Chrysler Museum to the Show in Ypsilanti. If we do decided to use the highways I will need to alter the map quest directions because of a construction zone. So please voice you ideas on which route we should take. Also as harbor said please post if you are planning to attend. Even if you don't know if you are going please let us know that you might come that way we have a good indication of how many cars are planning to show up.
ZHCS27- I am really interested in these ideas that you have. Mind giving us some hints/previews on what they might be???

Keep on the good work and thanks harbor for the repost.
Question; is there anywhere in this site where we can post an invitation to all? Cause if we can we should post something to all viewers to let them know of that day, we might be surprise by the number of people from outside the area that might want to come.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to ask again what peoples preferences where on taking the highway to the car show or staying off the highway. Please respond back and then I will post up directions.

Just wanted to make it public...I'm coming up from Dayton, Ohio with my wife. The idea of taking a group photo of a bunch of Crossfires, Coupes, Roadsters, and SRT-6s is too exciting to pass. Maybe we'll get published...still looking for my 15 minutes of fame.
I drive a Sapphire Silver Blue Roadster Limited 6 speed and this will be my longest drive to date. I hope that the weather is up to going topless...I hate driving with the top up, and I really want to test my windscreen on the open road.
I advised Fuzz40 that it will be iffy to get to the museum by 10 AM (4+ hours drive), so I'll need someone's cell number to apprise of delays, should it become necessary. I hope that a lot more folks show up. But I also hope that we are not staking a claim for admission to the Orphan Car club.

OK - Here's a layout of the Orphan Car Show, and we're parking in the lower right section where indicated.
At the Chrysler museum on Sunday I'll be passing out 3x5 cards with a black "XF" for those attending to put on your dash. That way the attendants can direct you to the assigned parking area. For those that can't make the museum, just put a card on your dash and you'll get into the show.
So far it's looking good. Fuzz 40 has a nice route mapped out, and all we need now is someone to ensure the weather cooperates.
