Default Windrestrictor

I need some advice on installing my restrictor....not sure I even like it but called around to radio shops to see if they can install it and looks like they charge around $100...does that seem reasonable? Is it best to just have it hooked up to the brakes with an on and off switch? I'm wondering if it can be annoying when you are driving, having it on all the time? I bought it in Texas and they said it is about a 30 minute job to install....but I'm thinking that does not have an on and off switch. Called ABC Warehouse and Best Buy and they offered to look at it....any suggestions?

Did you get this from windrestrictor.com? If so, it is so easy to install, don't pay anyone to do it, just take it to the dragon and let oldoc2u do it and I'm sure it will cost you no more than a beer or two out of the kindness of your heart.

The installation is straight forward. If you don't have a one that lights up, its about a 5-10 minute install. If it is a lighted one, then it will probably take about an hour or so. It's not hard to do.

Thumbs up Re: Windrestrictor

I've got it down to about 35 minutes even with the brake light module 5 wires. But I've done several of them. The switch is for if you are doing the head light/running light option. (simple on/off switch). You'll need to find a place to put it, possibly console? and attach it to the red wire. My brother had his on the dash so that if he did not want it on at night for any reason at all he could just push the button and it would go off.

You guys please give us a call if you ever need assistance. We do appreciate your business and will do anything to help.

Please dont pay 100.00 to have it hooked up. I will do it for you at the shop here in Dallas if you are close... 972-487-5987

Misunderstood, I thought you were in Texas.

Yes, you have everything you need to hook it up to the brake lights. I hope you do enjoy the products function even if you dont use the lighting. Give us a call if you run into anything at all. Have a great day...

with all the help we will have at the Dragon...we should be able to get it installed without any hitches, but need little hands for the hooking up the brakes lights, that I did struggle with...it isn't easy working in that tight space, so give us an hour of your time for install...beer afterwards...
