Guess I Need to get busy! My transmission is screwing up again and I need to get it to the dealer, as much as I hate to. I'll let you know when I get something planned. I can't believe it's May already!!!
There is some kentucky Crossfire out there ,This is good to see , are you close to Lexington ? Been trying to get Kentucky Crossfire M&G going for Years ,
In Walton, KY, At the 71-75 Split.
Always looking for new places to meet & greet. If you have any ideas for a day trip or an overnight, let me know and we will see who's interested.
I am looking to do something in June. I promised Itsky I would try to put a club together again for Indiana... Haven't had much luck in the past, but willing to try again...
It's tuff to find time in everyones schedule to make something happen. Just have to pick a date and location and go for it! Now if I can just find time to do that.....
I see there has been no activity here since 5/9/12 so I may be beating a dead horse so to speak but, it's the dead of winter and frankly I'm bored. I have had my XF for almost a year and one thing I have noticed in that time are a good number of other Crossfires in the Cincinnati area. Of course I have no way of knowing how many of those owners are active here but, it seems that getting something organized this spring or summer should be doable. I know a lot of people do not like the whole club idea (dues, meeting, bylaws), myself included. Call our selves Ohio Valley Crossfires or not, it doesn't matter if no one ever gets together. One of the best things about owning one of these cars is the fact that they are some what rare. However unlike Corvettes and Mustangs it works against us when it comes to putting something together.
For instance using Cincinnati (for discussion sake) as the center and going out in a 100 mile radius you are now including quite a few large metro areas. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Dayton/Springfield, Columbus, Indy, Louisville, Lexington and everything in between. Maybe as a starting point we can get some kind of roll call of forum members in or near that 100 mile radius so we have some idea how many owners we are talking about. Maybe your screen name, your location, year and model of your XF.

Ohio Valley Crossfires was something I came up with a few years ago when I meet several Crossfire owners here in the Evansville area and thought I would try and organize a few events. Everyone that was originally involved has now moved out of the Evansville area or sold their Crossfires. There were no dues involved with the group, just a name and some t-shirts. We did a few day trips and met for lunch a few times, but when it came to involving folks from other areas, it just didn't seem to work out. I still have my Crossfire and would love to try and do something this year if someone else is interested in participating.

I am running down to Henderson Ky everyday for work. There is plenty to do in the southern IN/Queen City area. That big ole' river is fun to run along side. Let me know, as I truck there all the time, the XF would be more fun. I drop off in Henderson and have been getting a back haul out of Vincennes.
OVC.....if you all have a list of owners can someone PM or email it to me. Has anyone in the group developed a OVC logo or decal? Have you all set up a hierarchy yet?
The logo is included in my signature below. I never did a decal..only had a local shop add the logo to some shirts. Like I said, we are not a formal group and don't have officers or collect dues and don't really see the need for it. We can always start a list of those who are interested but its just easier to use this site and link for those interested. Doc is right..there are lots of great things to do or see in southern Indiana and beyond. Ohio river scenic route is a great drive in the fall....French Lick, Brown County...lots of winerys too!
I did a day trip to Shawnee National forest in southern Illinois a few years ago...great drive with a ferry ride across the Ohio to Kentucky. Three states in one day! Maybe we gather ideas for day or weekend trips from those interested and go from there. I do a lot of lunch trips during the summer. Leave early in the day and find a new place for lunch...usually 2 or 3 hours one way.

Thanks for the information and I kinda figured the logo was the image used is your avatar but one should never assume. I understand you position on officers, dues, etc and respect them. Just wanted to make sure Crossfire Owners traveling through the are knew other owners were around and to post your info/logo/etc. on CICCI's website. If you have taken a look at the advantages/support given to regional Crossfire Groups by CICCI you may want to review it.
I live in Louisville in Valley Station there are 5 Crossfires in this area. I would be interested in joining in on some trips this summer with Ohio Valley group.Pm me if you need another Crossfire in the group.
