I haven't heard anything about the Country Inn and Suites, but I will call them tomorrow to check. If it looks like the damage is area-wide, we may want to consider rescheduling. I will let everyone know.
That's too wierd Mike, We saw that funnel cloud when we stayed at the Country Inn in Dundee when we were up there on May 21st and then we had a tornado come thru not more than 1/4 mile from our house yesterday morning. We had no damage but several buildings were torn up and a lot of trees down. fortunatly no loss of life in our town.
And as far as concidences go we went down to Cabela's in Wheeling WV on Saturday...

here's a picture of what we saw at the Country Inn at Dundee on May 21st

Angry Re: June 20th Irish Hills Wine Tour

As of today, Dundee (Monroe County) has been declared a disaster area and there are still large portions of the town without power. While this only a problem for a few, it is enough of a problem that I think in the interest of safety we reschedule to a weekend later in the summer. So, I am going to cancel for next weekend and will post an alternate date.

I'm sorry, but since there is damage on M-50 west of Dundee as well, I'd rather be safe than have someone hit some debris.

Well I am really disappointed.....couldn't we avoid going in that area, there are a lot of wineries and lakes west of Techumseh?

the problem isn't the winery, the problem is some people were coming from out of town and had planned to stay in Dundee. With the tornado, there were issues with hotel damage and the clean-up effort. We felt it best to reschedul rather than try and find other local accomodations on such short notice. Besides, some people were packing for CAA that weekend and it is Father's Day.

I'd like some suggestions on a date in July so I can put this back together. Any ideas?
