I'd still like to get together with this group sometime.
I'm out of town on the 10th, but possibly available on the 16th.

At least once this summer I will go to one of the open lapping days at HPR. It looks like Fridays during the summer, and I need to buy a helmet first.

I'm also interested in one of the informal get togethers on Saturday mornings at the Great Indoors or up in Lafayette. If a group of you decides to go to one of those, post up. It looks like the Lafayette group is only the first Saturday of each month.

 

Great ideas so far guys, let's keep them going. Another event that we have done in the past is a fall trip up in the mountains somewhere. We did Cripple Creek last fall and did a trip to Aspen & Glenwood Springs in '08.

 

Ok Evan we need to get some specific info for the 10th GTG and also the 16th so we can plan?

 

For the 10th, you can arrive in Parker around 7:30 to set up. Car show starts at 9AM. It looks like the car show will be on Pikes Peak. The best way to probably get there is to take Parker Rd south past Mainstreet. Once past Mainstreet, take the next left (1/4 mile down the road). This will take you into a circle. Take the third exit so that you are heading north on Pikes Peak. You should then see an entrance for the car show there. I will make arrangements to see if we can all park together. We will probably have some of the Colorado SRT Owners club join as well. If the entrance location changes, I will let you know. If you plan on attending the show, see the following thread:

For Saturday, June 16th, how about the Golden Gate Canyon State Park/Peak-to-Peak/Left Hand Canyon run? If so, let's meet in Golden around 11:00AM for an early lunch at the Old Capitol Grill (located at 12th and Washington). There is street parking and a large public lot about 1/2 block S of the grill.

MOPAR or No Car show at Pro Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Denver (I-25 and 104th) on Saturday, June 23rd, from 9AM to 1PM.

I plan on attending.

 

That's a good route for the 16th. I'll see if I can make that.

I also may be headed to Pro Jeep on the 23rd, but if I go, I'd likely take the Jeep.

I was going to attend, then I realized the 16th is booked for the Ren-fair.

I will be making a very concerted effort to be present for the 23rd.
I DO make it out occasionally...Evan got me motivated once!
I also very much want to make it for a cruise eventually, and open lapping at HPR sure sounds like a lot of fun.
(I have motorcycle helmets, do they count?)
