Default Mt. Wachusett

Michelle and I decided to go for a ride today as she had a rare sat. off. We went out and up to Mt. Wachusett and then down the other side through holden, paxton and spencer. From there we headed out Rt. 9 to Rt.47 and then 101 to Home. Was about 90 miles total. Had a great time in the sun. For your info there is a two dollar parking charge to get to the top.
That's it for today, here's a pic at the top.

Wow, Casper!....4K miles in 3 years...100/month hope you don't wear it out. Bumper to bumper warranty runs out on 3 yrs....I just had my seat heater and module replaced @ 34K would have cost me over a grand off warranty. Change the oil yet?

Hey Crossfirefun,

Let's do a little math here. 100Miles per month....

You can expect to live until 78 or336 months. Your Xfire will have 37,600Miles by then or five oil changes. It will be a relative virgin. A nice 31 year old collectors car well worth having.

But, statistically you will be dead!

Sad......to waste all those opportunities.

Get out and drive that thing man!

roadster with a stick

BTW My wife and I plan to top the same mountain this fall and Mt Washinton in Vermont. From St Louis, that will put 3,000 more clicks on mine.

Why spend 40K on a car and use it as a lawn ornament? 37 miles more by next week and in the summer...what did you buy it for?

Out of curiousity how many miles do most of us have? 34K on my 2005 1130/month

I purchased my Crossfire four months ago. I've put approximately 3600 miles on it so far. I turned in my "company" vehicle because I'm retiring on June 30. Now I working for another company and a vehicle and gas card comes with that position. My Hemi Ram sits and I use the Crossfire whenever I can. I'm averaging 26 mpg as compared to 13 mpg with the Hemi. With the price of gas the way it is, I'm very thankful I have such a fun car as the Crossfire to drive, and it's economical to operate.

Phil takes out the Chevette more than the XFire !!
He keeps his Crossfire in one of those air bubble, portable garages that is climate controlled! I have seen pics of it set up in his bedroom for the car's winter storage!
He has a very large bedroom, so he tells me.

I hope there's no steel wool pad around the exhaust pipe . It would have been alot cheaper to rent one for the bi-monthly ride to the cornerstore.

Actually I just got this car in May of 07 so I really have over 3900 miles in 13 months. I started with 58. Not bad since I park it for the winter.I drive it about 100 miles a week if it is not raining. You have to remember I drive 1000 miles a week for work so driving on the weekend is not a high priority. No way i'm taking this car to work with the ******** I park around.

A little redemption 3900 in 13 months(69/week) I agree with you on parking lots though. I ride my bike whenever I can (this SUMMER???? sucks) to save gas...55-v-26 mpg. Driving a great car 70 miles a week is like breast feeding a 50 year old kid.

Ever see what happens to a race horse if he is kept in a barn?
