Hi all,
Would any NEX members be interested in Cruising up to the Budweiser Brewery in Merrimack, NH to take the tour and meet the Clydesdales? The horses are available for meeting on the first saturday of each month.

It just popped in my head so I figured I would throw it out there as a suggestion.

sounds like a great trip.. but i dont think i will be able to go.

So long story short.. after our last cruise i ended up in the emergency room til midnight.. My back was killing all day as we traveled though the hills of CT. I was diagnosed with spinal bone spurs the week before.. so my back pain that i have had was nothing new to me.. Nd i decided bone spurrs wouldnt stop me from living so i kept doing things i love...

but when i got home and laid down my right leg went numb. It was scarry. No one was home to come take me to the ER.. i had to call a neighbor to take me.. well.. the MRI said i have two ruptured disks in my lower back that are pressing on the nerves that control my legs ! ouch! No wonder i have been miserable for the past few months ( since august) .. guess the long car ride just pushed me over the edge.

Looks like im going to have some surgery to fix the two disks.. and will be out of work for several months.. which is a whole nother worry... i still cant believe how bad it was.. and i have been pushing myself.. at the gym.. on the bike.. not believing the pain was anyting serious .. well they were WRONG... im hoping now that i heal fast..

im sure i will be online here at LOT more since i am home in bed.. waiting for the next step...

when you do go to the brewery.. have a drink for me

So no more driving.. or riding the Harley.. at least for now.. ;(

 

OMG Jen, that is terrible! i hope you can make it to some more events.
My neighbor has a really bad back. Something like 4 or 6 cervicals messed up. He is really bad off. And he is only in his late 20's. Hope you have insurance coverage.

Hey, the brewery in NH isn't too far. Not as rough driving as this past weekend, mostly highway. Keep your chin up!!

Im going to reopen my workmans comp case.. it was misdiagnosed... and it should be covered. We shall see...

The membership needs to decide on a date! It's not up to me.

If the Clydesdales are not important we can go on a day other than Saturday.

Sorry to hear about you're back Jen, I have lower back problems thank god not that bad. Like Stan said the brownies are awesome.
