Providence Waterfire
Anyone interested in a picnic culminating with viewing the Providence Watrefire Show? www.waterfire.org
Providence RI is central to many members and we have members a few miles from Prov that may host a picnic at their home or meet at anyone of several great State parks.
Waterfire dates (all Saturdays) are: July 4th and 25th
August 8th and 22nd
Sept 19th
Oct 10th
Tossing it out for discussion and any but July 4th or Oct 10th is cool with me. I imagine Crossfire Tail can give us a hand here.

I'm jealous now! Miss going to Waterfire! Soooo much fun to go to the waterfront there and enjoying the food and atmosphere! So many great resturaunts to pick from in that general vicinity! Especially Cafe Nuovo with their over the top presentations! Enjoy...............trying to get to town on 7/25 weekend to catch the festivities!
Sept. date is good for me so far. Last years fall ender picnic was a little cold.
I more than likely wont stick around for the light show though. To far to travel back home in the dark.

Got my reservations. Ready to roll..........but can't pack the Midlife Chrysler! This is just a quickie trip......too long to make it by car!! I'll be in town for the weekend of 7/25!
SUNNY...Someone always has an empty seat on our runs. It is hard to get people together in summer...unlike Alabama we have 10 weeks of summer...this year probally 8. People tend to want to do individual things from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Nightrider............If there is a plan to get together let me know! It's always great to get to know other Crossfire friends. I grew up in RI and have been away for a few years. My family and close friends still reside there and I visit often! I feel a foot is still planted there in Lincoln and the other in Bama.......It's been tough getting people together for runs here as well. We can only keep the enthusiasm going!
Not a problem, we are VERY open to visitors and have no formal membership other than the 4 founders. We have alot of RI members and sure if I'm around that weekend we could meet up. Too early to promose as every weekend has been rain since April and I got cabin/road fever bad.
Since this was mentioned, I thought that we could do something like Crossfires @ Waterfire and have a show of our cars. Crossfires only. I plan on getting in touch with the mayor of Providence but I need to know how many cars we can count on and what date we would like. It would be nice to get a sponsor to back us and all have dinner at one of the fine restaurants within the city.
Since my name was mentioned, I had spoken to Stan about this before but didn't follow through yet. I think I can make this happen. It would be great to get everyone involved in such an undertaking. Show Providence that we are a great group to join up with.

September 19th would be far enough out for all to plan ahead.
I don't know about a car show unless we can get good parking where no one will mess with our cars while we are viewing the fires.
Although that is an issue whether we have a showing or not.

I can get great parking for the Eastern CT car show...and I'm a judge at it. It's Sept 20th in Norwich CT. My birthday is Sept 19th I have a Patriot Guard event on the 18th so that weekend would not be too good 4 me.
