Please look for a new thread about a GTG with some nice folks from Canada who want to spend a day with us, around Kittery of somewhere thereabouts. Could be a little south of there in New Hampshire. Open to ideas.

Re: breakast meeting and car show
Thanks for hosting us Phil! The weather turned out to be nice and warm! We got to see some really nice cars! I am sure Rick will post some of his pics. We made it home without any issues. In fact, we were cruising about 90-95 behind an Environmental Police Officer on 190 without any issues! Fun. So I guess we got our police escort for a while. Stan

Bob,
Ya, I believe they are federal officer's, right? Anyhow, if he had given any sign of not liking us following, like a flash of the brake lights or something, I would have backed off immediately. I think he enjoyed the company! He was definitely clearing the lane of slow people, if you know what I mean. If you consider left lane drivers slow.
I'm sure you know, some troopers fly down the highway and like to push others out of the way. I used to spend 6 hours a day on the roads in New England. Seen it a hundred times, flying down the lane, no lights, just jump on someone's a$$ until they finally move over and then give them a dirty look as they pass them. There has been a few times when I would be right behind them.
Anyhow, are you ever gonna join us on a cruise again?

The Environmental Police aka "fish cops" are employees of the Commonwealth. Their main focus is recreational vehicles, snow mobiles, jet skis, boats, and they enforce rules and regulations regarding shellfish, lobsters, and fish in general. They can also write citations for traffic offenses.
Yes, you'll see alot of high-speed Troopers out there. Most of it comes from too few people to cover large areas. The average patrol area is usually 50-60 miles. The commute to work can be 60-90 minutes one way. My advice to all is never pass a cruiser doing the speed limit or above, get out of their way when you see them coming, and don't follow a speeding cruiser where he or she can look in their rear view mirror and put a clock on you.
My Crossfire has only traveled about 500 miles this year. We were seriously tied up looking for our new boat, and now that we have it, we use it. Will I participate in another Crossfire Cruise? Absolutely, once the boating season comes to an end. The boat is a big investment compared to a motor vehicle. My Crossfire costs a lot less to fill up, usually $20-$30, compared to filling the boat at an average cost of $500-$600 for a trip to Block Island and back. Boating is a family thing with us. A two-seater car doesn't allow a heck of a lot of room for family.
Hopefully, I'll see you guys sometime this fall before you go into hibernation.

Re: breakast meeting and car show
Someone had told me once that they were Fedreal employees. Hmmm..
$500 or $600 to Block Island?! What did you buy a 50ft speed boat or something with twin 454's? You should post a pick so we can see what your other obsession is. I have owned boats in the past, so I know how time consuming and money consuming they are!
