Great show everybody! As always it was great meeting old and new faces. Sorry I had to cut out early but I am on my way out the door for dinner as I type.(on my cell phone)
I made it home safe and hope everyone else does too.

Post pictures up whenever you can...sorry I couldn't make it... See most of you on the first weekend of October.
Hi all,
Sorry I couldn't make it. Sorry I missed you all. Post some pics !!
I had a "war dept" situation to deal with on Friday and Saturday. All is quiet on the home front now.

Norwich, Conn. —
The best thing about the 1979 Hurst Oldsmobile is the ride.
“It’s like driving your recliner,” said Randy Mossy of Bozrah. “It’s a sweet ride.”
Mossy and hundreds of others lined up their antique, classic and modern cars, popped the hoods and polished the chrome for the 2009 Norwich Auto Show on Sunday at Dodd Stadium. It’s the first year the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored it.
David Wigfield, chairman of the auto show, expected more than 600 cars at the event, in its 24th year.
“We’ve always been a family show,” he said. “You never hear a kid ask his father to go, because they love it here.”
Chris Ida, 44, of Oakdale brought his son, Nick, 6, to check out Camaros.
“My father has a ‘31 Model A” Ford, Ida said. “I’m like a ‘56 Chevy guy myself.” Nick’s more of a ‘70s muscle car guy, his father said.
A large portion of the proceeds from the event, expected to be as high as $20,000, go to charity, though this year’s charity has not been chosen, Wigfield said. Past recipients include the American Cancer Society and Norwich Technical High School. Some of the money also goes to the Chamber of Commerce to support other events.
Classic cars were judged in 37 groups, including Fords from 1932 to 1953 and Thunderbirds though 1984.
Bruce Dora, 58, of Norwich admired a black replica of a 1934 Mercedes-Benz, a popular luxury car in Europe before World War II.
“That is one pretty machine,” said Dora.
Ed Comeau of Plainfield shined a 1937 Plymouth he built. He said it’s hard to describe what makes a car from that era so unique.
“You hear the rumble of the motor,” said Comeau, 63. “In my time, that was big.”

It was great time seeing some new faces and some old friends, I'll post the pics that I took of some of the many surprises that were there. We did well, garnering 1st,2nd, 3rd and Best Club.
My car won the third spot, congrats to all who won, Crispy with the bling mobile got top honors but we all came out winners. 6 cars placed right at the entrance.
Lots of folks stopped by and spoke with us about the cars that we so love.

We had a nice time, perfect weather and nice people. Phil I'm sorry we didn't get to say good-bye to you. By the way Janet "jammer" came in 2nd.
