The dealership that services my 07 XF roadster just called to tell me that, while doing the oil change at 30K miles, they noticed transmission leaks. One will be fixed under warranty but the other (a leak at the transmission cooling line) is not covered under warranty. They quoted $590.00 to perform that repair, but they did say it isn't a bad leak and doesn't need to be done urgently.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good XF mechanic in or near Worcester? Also, does the quoted price seem reasonable? If so, I may let the dealer do that repair.

 

Dont know of any good ones in the area. Most dealerships are at $100 an hour shop rate now. Trans fluid is expensive for these cars. Not sure if you need a new line or just an o-ring (could be costly part). I think it is high but I just priced some lawn mowers and about fainted at the prices!
