Many on this forum rember "nightrider" he was a quality guy with a lot going on, despite being a liberal, we were buddies. We had several things in common, we were both ex-military unless that's an oxymoron. I was in Cambodia and he was in Nam. I guess that was our bond and I taught him a lot about photography and he learned well. Even as he became better at it, he still consulted me for advice. At any rate, that's old news the latest is that he has passed away, no suspicious circumstances, except that he spoke with a buddy from EB on friday last, his family had not heard from him but that wasn't particularly strange as he would take off often , not to be heard from for a couple of days but this was different. He wasn't reachable by his cell which he always carried with him. His family decided to check on him, his son went to his house, the door was locked but he saw, through the window that Bruce was laying on the floor. He called the police and forced entry and the rest is history, as they say. There will be a sevice of some sort held at the Mystic Funeral home on route 1 in Mystic near the Dunkin Donuts. It will be from 2 'til 4:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of his life at a nearby eatery. The name of which I do not know. But, it will directly after the service. Rick Turgeon (Crossfire Trail)

Wherever he is, I know that he's supremely pissed at not making it to retirement and enjoying it beyond. He truly respected the skills of the photographers out there, on the forum, crosstrail, and at Eb. You could see his skills increasing recently big time, and I know it was from his Passion in doing it right, and learning from people who also were very good. I really miss his emails already, big time.

Hi Mark! It's always a pleasure to hear from you. My original post, I think, was deleted because I described myself as a lazy no-good liberal. I like the fact that we can joke about our beliefs - you calling yourself as a cold hearted Conservative - and we still get along famously when we actually get together in person. We need more of that - we are individuals with differing opinions, but in the end, just people who care about each others interests and opinions. I guess, what I'm saying, is that I miss the Political forum on this webpage. How about another get - together with the Minnesota Crossfire group? Lola's? Stillwater?

I miss that section too, as you pointed out and correctly so Steve. Lots of diverse opinions and I learned a lot from some, and became goof efriends on the plowing viewpoint side. But alas, pc-Ness has taken over our culture completely and many have decided that one cannot have even heated debate and keep in mind that we still like one another famously at the same time. You are living proof of that. Nightrider, and gdc was too. I didn't have to agree with them and still they made me laugh.

Anyway, would love to get together, been a long time. Maybe some place north for a change to give other guys a shot at ease? Kozlak'd in shorewood, or shoreview ardently hills. Can't keep those two areas straight.
