Default Beware: Tech Motorsports Brentwood/Exeter NH

I post this as a warning to others so they can avoid what has been one of the worst experiences of my life.

I trusted my classic car to Scott Magoon at Tech Motorsports which has resulted in enough damages that I will be getting a hefty check from my insurance company for the damage this incompetent has done.

I will not go into details here but will say that they lied to me repeatedly, performed work which directly resulted in the motor spinning a bearing, and then failed to make it right. In the end, the police dept was involved because I had to threaten action to get my car back. There has been other criminal activity relating to this which I cannot go into because it is still pending.

He claims he is located in Brentwood but he was evicted from that location and now does his damage from a dump in Exeter.

Don't take your Crossfire or any other car to this idiot. You'd be better off with a chimp and a screwdriver.

Anyone know where I can find a 440 and a 727?

Stay far away.

Have to speak MOPAR 440 hopefully with a six pack and 727 is an automagic. Might ask Mark Worman.

I prefer a 400 Ram Air and a Muncie.

No offense Steve but the T-10 was never a rock crusher. The M-21 was standard 4 speed for GM. With the M-22 , called the rock crusher for heavy duty. M- stands for Muncie. Mopars 4 speeds were 833 and they were all heavy duty transmissions. Behind the Hemi and the 440.

Nice '66. Not my favorite year, always reminded me of a Marlin. But, I still live by, "Mopar or No car". The crossfire is pushing it as far as Mopar, but does say Chrysler on it and that will do for now.

Agree 67 was the prettiest, black one with a Hurst used in Bullett (losing many hubcaps in the process), good 440 can pull a Hemi to any sane speed, big difference is in modern tires.

BTW reason they called a M22 that was not because it could crush rocks but because the straight cut gears sounded like it was crushing rocks. Being partly deaf helped. Only really good thing was that once you burned up the clutch sliding the start, it was no longer needed. Just pull back really hard and bounce the gas pedal when you wanted to shift. Now you know why Hurst shifters had such a stout lever.

ps there were four GM four speeds at the time:
Light duty Saginaw
Wide Ratio Muncie M20
Close Ratio M21
Heavy Duty M22
but for big engines they bought the standard three-speed from Ford.
and later Saginaws were made in the Muncie plant.

I am corrected, 68 side markers were round and tiny.

Fat fingers, knew it was a '67, just decided to type '66. See if you were on your toes? That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
