I'm new to the forum just to let everyone know and I'm fairly new to the crossfire. I have an 05 with 62k and I've had it just a little over 2 monthsand i absolutely love it! I just recently got rid of an 02 cooper s supercharged. I was curious. I've been looking around everywhere and I've been seeing that the XF is basically the same as a clk 320. With that being said, can I get slk 230 coilovers and will they fit my car? Also as far as parts go, can I just get slk parts for my XF? Just random miscellaneous parts? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

The car is an SLK320 as far as the engine, electronics, drive train and chassis go. The body is unique to the car.

As I understand it, the coilovers are from the 320. Go look in our suspension forum area and I think you'll find what others have used.

So far, Im not to the point of replacing mine.

You have an 05 but didn't say if it was a Limited or a SRT6. While you may want to buy SLK320 parts for the limited, you'll be shopping for SLK32 AMG parts for the SRT6

I believe the interior is also from the SLK. Am I correct?

 

most of the interior is the same. off hand, the seats, radio, map pockets in the door are different. I'm sure I'm missing others.

 

Not a lot of difference... less difference than even I thought.

 

but a key difference, the SLK has TWO cupholders!!

 

I don't see it in this photo, but the SLK had a double cup holder that popped out from the dash either under the A/C ***** or the radio. I forget which.

That was from a GOOGLE search of "SLK320 Interior", I suspect this is an SLKxxx of some sort, maybe not '320.
