Hi my name is Elena and I have just joined the forum, I am yet to own my first Crossfire (but being an impatient person it won't be far away) and I just wanted to know whether anyone uses their Crossfire all year round and not just during the summer time, cheers

Welcome to the forum. Mine was a daily driver in Chicago for 8+ years. Driving in snow does require all season tires as most performance tires get real slick in snow and the cold. Not sure how much of either you get in Coventry. I am now in Texas and get neither.

Hi Uncle Al thank you for letting me know; we didn't have any snow for years but the last 2 years we have and it can happen between October and May. We don't usually have a lot but it does seem to hang around for a while. It would seem lots of people just use their cars during the nicer weather and I didn't want to have to consider getting a second car to use if it wasn't advisable to drive the Crossfire in the snow. I have never owned or driven a rear wheel drive car.

Kind regards

Elena

Its not impossible to drive these year round but, as stated, snow tires are a must. RWD takes a little bit of finesse in the snow but taking your time and being cautious will get you where you need to be. When the roads are really bad and icey, FWD, RWD or AWD won't save you anyway..

That being said, I've opted for the winter beater route but there are many who drive their Crossfire year round.

Also, if you've ever wanted a Crossfire, that thought will stick with you if you don't buy one. If you end up in something else, chances are you'll come back to the Crossfire in a few years, just something about the cars that stay with you. I "bought" one for about a week back in 2008 but ended up in something different. 4 years later I bought the one I have now

best of luck in your search!
