Welcome aboard. We have other cousins on here as well. Plenty to read here about some of the modifications a lot of us have made, and still trying to make. Have fun.

The attached link will provide you with some of the mods available to the SLK32 and the Crossfires, they are reliable and provide excellent service to anyone associated with this forum.

Welcome aboard. This is a very friendly and knowledgeable group. What happened, not enough information on the MB forums?

Welcome. I drive a faux-fire (SLK32) also. They are sweet little cars... Lighter than a SRT6 roadster, even WITH a retractable hardtop. I doubt that the supposed 19 HP difference between the SRT6 and SLK32 AMG is real though.

THIS FORUM is the place you want to hang out. MBworld and Benzworld are great for repair info and general discussion, but all the people modding their cars and doing awesome things with them are over here. Good buncha folks for an internet forum too.

You said it perfectly! I also could not be happpier with my car. I see no reason not the be faster though.

How much does a 32 weigh? I don't think I have ever seen those numbers? The engines are the same...as usual, someone lied about their engine. Can you imagine that. Car builders lying about HP.... Damn near as bad as car owners...

I have seen when heads up racing between crossfire and slk32 with same mods the crossfire is always faster. My only goal for my slk is 11.999 so on the street I feel happy

You sure about that? Takes a well modded vette to beat a modded SRT6. Been there done that. But I am former vette owner and still have a passion for them, but I love my little 6's...now...

As Doc said, it takes a modded 'vette or possibly a ZR1 or Z06. My Xfire is heavily modded and has been known to embarrass a 'vette or 2. But, in agreement, 'vettes are nice, I've always wanted a '63 split window, one of my favorite cars.

From autos.msn.com:

2003 SLK32 AMG 3220 lb
2005 SRT6 Coupe 3240 lb
2005 SRT6 Roadster 3328 lb

Of the three roof options, the retractable-hardtop roadster is the lightest!
