Excited to be here
Hi, my girlfriend just bought a 2006 XF roadster yesterday!
She thinks they look cool and wanted a convertible for her midlife treat to herself. Second car to her old Subaru.
I'm the one passionate about cars, and I did all the research, homework, found the car, etc.
At first I was skeptical because of all the bad press. But owners speak louder than haters, and now I feel good about this car.
I'm passionate about my cars: I loved working on (and driving) my 2002 Mini Cooper S, I did a lot of modding on that car, but I was rear ended after 10 years. I have a 98 Cummins Dodge 2500 Ram that is fun and easy to work on, and there are several great forums for that one. I currently drive a Ford Focus ST, stock and staying that way, go figure..
But this rear wheel driven roadster is whats been lacking in my life. More than satiates my pining for a BRZ.
I'm excited to find this forum; its active, lots of knowledge and help here, and the least amount of flaming of any site i've seen. Yea!
Anyways I'm looking forward to a lot of miles an good times in this car, which is a blast to drive even though its an automatic (love the manual option for the down shifts). I will be here often. My first mission is to find a better solution for coffee cups, mandatory.
Cheers, Jenni

WELCOME! That's a nice introduction and everything you said is "spot on". Look here first for advice and problem solving. Do a search in the google box at the top for "cup holder" and prepare for days of research. Enjoy the Crossfire!
