Default 2005 Crossfire

Just bought a 2005 Crossfire and love it! On day three we started experiencing the same problems we read about in the forum. We are learning many things about our car and hope to resolve the issue soon. Thanks for all of the helpful tips.

Welcome to the forum, and it is great to see someone use the search feature, if you need some additional help please ask.
Most problems have been solved, most without expensive trips to the dealers. This car is pretty bullet proof but does have some odd quirks that are easily and cheaply solved. Come here first for your problems. Avoid Chrysler dealers like the plague, they know less than we do here by a long shot.
Do the sticky ignition fix before it causes problems, maybe it has been done already. Dealers want $600 or so and you can do it for nothing with two hours labor max.

If you have a Facebook account, look up the Florida Crossfire Group. We have many local owners in the area and get together often for drives and shows. Plus I'm pretty knowledgeable on the repairs and maintenance particular to the car. Enjoy the car and hope to meet you soon.

just purchased an 05 Crossfire with 60000 miles in wonderful condition except the top will not operate. loosen the header latch, windows go down but when the top button on the console is used nothing happens. Previous owner told me all was ok until he replaced the battery. Any ideas or i just take it to dealer. Thank you all for your consideration.

Welcome, be sure the trunk divider is up and seated in the holders on the sides. Thayt is where one of the top sensors is. It would also be a good idea to look down in the driver side rear tail light area to be sure the pump is not low on fluid. You can manually operate the top. with the tonneu cover open you can see into the rear area. Use the search function at the top of the page.

Congrats to all with your recent purchases of Crossfires (I think I counted 3 new owners). Nearly all things simple & complex have been encountered by owners & solutions posted throughout our Forum. Cars always draw attention wherever you go. Enjoy!
