Noob
Hello, all. New member here. At the first of this month I purchased a silver 2007 roadster convert with 60250mis on the odometer. I live near Paris, Tx in N.E. corner of state. I googled convertibles for sale and of the four that came up in my area, one was my XF. It was 100mis from home. I really had no idea what the XF was all about, I just knew it was a convert. I did some research on them before I bought it, but that did not lead me to understand how much fun they are to drive, or how peppy they are to drive.
It took me two days to find the reason my subwoofers didn't work. The signal to them was turned off, as in down all the way. Strange? Not when you consider the passenger speaker is blown. It took 4 days for the TP light to come on which sent me to my tire store guy. Good news, no hole in tire. Bad news, wheel was cracked. I had already changed out one headlight, on day two...the first time I turned headlights on, the drivers side was burned out. Yes, I should have done a better inspection! Tower Honda in Longview, Tx was supposed to be a reputable dealer. Oh, well. I did talk them into replacing the wheel, after they had inspected it and deemed it unrepairable. The top has been working, for the most part. Once it would not finish raising until I stepped out and raised the tonneau cover slightly. It seemed to be hung on the window. That's the only problem so far and that's after two dozen raise and lowers. The dealership refused to repair the speaker. I'll not be back to them and don't recommend them.
The car is a blast to drive! Wow, the cornering! I've been reading the forum on multiple subjects and have to say that, although a little slow, it is full of information and populated by a bunch of good people. Thanks!

Congratulations on your purchase. Welcome to the forum. This, you will find, is the FRIST place you go when you have a problem. Even if you do not DIY,at least you will have the knowledge so you won't get blindsided by another unscrupulous dealer. I hope! Enjoy the ride!
You can actually fix the subs yourself, I just did. There's a kit on eBay you can purchase that comes with everything you need to do the fix except instructions on removing them. That you can find on YouTube. Took me about 5 minutes to remove and 30 to clean and repair them. You have to remove the leftover dry rotted foam which takes up most of the time. I let them dry overnight before testing them out. Now I finally have bass!
